MST-BAR® Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebar
MST-BAR® GFRP Rebar is a high-performance structural reinforcement made from glass fiber reinforced polymer. With a patented helical rib design, it delivers superior bond strength, outperforming traditional steel rebar. MST-BAR® offers tensile strength exceeding 1,200 MPa (174,000 psi) while weighing 75% less than steel, allowing for faster, safer, and more efficient installation.
Designed for durability in harsh conditions, MST-BAR® is non-corrosive, non-conductive, and resistant to chloride, alkali, and UV exposure. It features a modulus of elasticity of 60 GPa, a bond strength of 18 MPa, and a coefficient of thermal expansion of 3.3 x 10⁻⁶ /°F, making it a lightweight, long-lasting, and maintenance-free alternative for structural concrete in both public and private sector projects.
